Fattoush Salad

Fattoush Salad originated in Northern Lebanon. And, it always serves it with fried pita bread. It’s a colorful and readily preparable vegan salad. This salad should be great for your lunch.

Ingredients

  • Plum Tomato (80g)
  • Cucumber Slice (120g)
  • Lemon Juice (2 teaspoons)
  • Baby Gem Lettuce (80g)
  • Parsley (4g)
  • Pitta Bread (2 slices)
  • Olive Oil (2 tablespoons)
  • Ground Sumac(4g)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. So, roughly chop your tomatoes. And, put it in the bowl

  2. Now, peel the cucumber and dice it up and set it on the side. And, chop your Parsley.

  3. Dice baby gem lettuce and, set it on the side. 

  4. Place all the ingredients in a bowl and season with sumac, lemon juice, olive oil and salt and pepper. 

  5. Now, cut pitta bread into triangles and deep fry it until it comes golden brown. Should take 2-3 minutes. 

  6. Arrange all items into the bowl and serve it with vegan labneh cheese.
